Breath and Sound Workshop

In this workshop, students will learn to undo bad breathing habits and begin to discover a dynamic range of sounds on the recorder. Exercises will include blowing with an open throat, high notes, and legato playing. For recorder players of all levels.

Improvisation on Grounds

Improvisations was an important aspect of Renaissance and Baroque music. In this class students will learn to improvise over four grounds: the Folia, Chaconne, Passacaille, and Bergamasca. Open to intermediate to advanced students of all instruments.
